So this is Christmas
Once again those around you are reminded of their mortality, and you’re reminded of yours. We say it over and over again: ‘make the most of now, you never know how long you’ll have it’, but we never can do that. If we did that, life would not work. Somehow we’ve got to find this crazy balance between the waiting and the doing, the thinking and the acting. Who knows if...

I’ve been home a day and all I want to do is go back to Paris. I’ll write a little something tomorrow about a few of the places we visited, but for now I will say it was the most beautiful weekend of my life (eugh, vomit). “I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to pull it dear.” replied the little old woman in the chair behind us.
Today I visted my Nanoo (Gran/Grannie etc) in her care home, and we had a mini Christmas: Morrisons sandwiches, a mish mash of crackers and Lidl chocolate trifle. I even wore my Christmas hat-and that’s saying something for someone who is a little bit of a scrooge.
