So this is Christmas
Once again those around you are reminded of their mortality, and you’re reminded of yours. We say it over and over again: ‘make the most of now, you never know how long you’ll have it’, but we never can do that. If we did that, life would not work. I’ve been home a day and all I want to do is go back to Paris. I’ll write a little something tomorrow about a few of the places we visited, but for now I will say it was the most beautiful weekend of my life (eugh, vomit). Today I visted my Nanoo (Gran/Grannie etc) in her care home, and we had a mini Christmas: Morrisons sandwiches, a mish mash of crackers and Lidl chocolate trifle. I even wore my Christmas hat-and that’s saying something for someone who is a little bit of a scrooge.
